C25K - W1D1 is in the books.
It felt great to push myself. That’s something easily forgotten when you’re sedentary.
The body sure can do amazing things and pushing yourself does wonders for your mood!

2 years ago • 14 notes • view commentsIn honor of this weekend’s festivities, GVOYW- The time I surprised Wig in Vegas edition.
In 2007, the planets were aligning for the Las Vegas trip we had all dreamt of since we learned to count to 21. I was turning the magic age, Wig was graduating from college, and everyone else probably had some celebratory excuses too.
Only one problem, though; at the time, I didn’t fly in airplanes, so I had to tell Wig I couldn’t go. He wasn’t happy with me, but the trip was still planned.
A few days before they were to leave, though, I decided I couldn’t miss the shenanigans. I had a yard sale to get some extra cash, loaded up the car and headed west.
1,200 miles later, I was there.
I didn’t tell Wig I was going and made plans to be at the airport when they landed. I got the moment on video.
It was a top-5 week of my life, no doubt.
Edit: Nathan, is that you laughing like an idiot in the background?
Went to the track over the weekend. We live right next to a high school, so it’s super convenient. Walked about a mile & half then did stairs. Gonna start jogging again this week… Couch to 5k program to be exact!
Took this pic from the shadiest spot I could find while waiting for my husband to finish his workout. Me likes shade! :)

I know, I’m weird.

Come on man… buy a stainless steel bottle and packets of gatorade/powerade or something! Hope you at least recycled all those plastic things. :)
2 years ago • 5 notes • view commentsCleaned out my car today and came up with 36 assorted Gatorade, Powerade, and water bottles.
Lots of training = lots of hydration.
Not pictured: two Red Bull cans, one Wendy’s cup, and two Subway cups.
and I was hoping to be at 135, but I think l have actually gained a pound or two this past week from again, too much food and not enough movement. Boo!
But, it’s not that big a deal because I have great friends surrounding me and I can’t wait to celebrate with them tomorrow night! Oh, and I’m getting my hair did… shorter & lighter, can’t wait!
Then it’s off to the Big Apple for the weekend where I’m going to focus on fun instead of food! Although, don’t let me fool you… I will have my almonds & carrots in tow to keep me from eating junk between meals! :)
Happy Tuesday!

WIW… Last week: 136.8 This week: 137.8 Weight lost over last 17 weeks: 12.4 lbs YAY! Only up 1 lb from last week. After all those chips and such little exercise I’ll take it, but this week it’s on since next Weigh In Wednesday is my bday! :)
I had an embarassing amount of these chips last night… after 9 pm with no protein to accompany them. Apparently my body was craving salt or carbs or whatever so I just went with it! Soooo good!
I decided to be good and not bring any to work today to snack on, but guess what? The deli in my building has them, so I just consumed the 100 calorie pack. Thank goodness for portion control! YUM!
